It was October 2020, deep in the midst of the global pandemic. My partner and I asked ourselves a powerful question:
Where in the world can we still live in freedom until things return to normal?
Since November 2019, my partner and I have been traveling together—a time filled with adventure and new experiences.
We immersed ourselves in the vibrant life of Morocco, enjoyed many weeks on the stunning island of Koh Phangan in Thailand, and then spent a wonderful time on Koh Samui.
From there, our journey continued to the breathtaking Maldives. Afterwards, we made our way to London, Guernsey, and finally, I ended up in Düsseldorf.
And it was there – one ordinary morning at a bakery. I glanced at a travel magazine, and on the cover: a breathtaking photo of the Seychelles 🇸🇨.
That’s it, I thought.
It was one of those intuitive moments you can’t quite explain – when something inside you whispers, This is where you need to go.
I began researching right away and called my partner. His reaction? A big, enthusiastic Yes!
We both had the same thought:
An island far away from it all – where we could still live freely 🕊️.
Just a few weeks later, in November 2020, we were on a flight from London to this island paradise.
What followed was one of the most beautiful times of my life 🐢💖.
Months of island dreams: We lived on La Digue, Silhouette Island, Eden Island, and Praslin – each one a little paradise of its own.

I’ve traveled a lot. I’ve seen countless beaches.
